What is Interfolio?
Interfolio is a software platform used by Academic Affairs to secure and process information about faculty professional activity. Academic Affairs purchased two modules; Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) and Faculty Activity and Reporting (FAR).
- RPT securely streamlines the annual update, tenure/promotion, and emeritus processes.
- FAR captures faculty activity information from various data sources on campus, such as courses taught, grants and publications, number of students advised, committees served on, and potentially, course evaluation.

What is RPT?
Review, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) is a module within the Interfolio software platform that securely streamlines the annual update, tenure/promotion, and emeritus processes. Faculty members who are up for tenure or promotion will use RPT to submit their cases for evaluation. Department Chairs, Deans, the Provost and the President will use RPT to evaluate cases submitted by Faculty members.
Will administrators be able to see my private portfolio collection?
No. The only time information is searchable or used in report generation is when the information is brought into RPT by a Faculty member.
What is FAR?
Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) is a module within the Interfolio software platform that focuses on capturing faculty activity information from various data sources on campus. It will compile various pieces of information such as courses taught, grants and publications, number of students advised, committees served on, and course evaluations, if and when we decide how to use them. Faculty will also be able to search easily for colleagues conducting scholarship of similar interest. Each faculty member has their own personal space on this platform, which will be available even if you move to another institution. With the data shared on the platform the University will be able to report on the professional activity of faculty in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service in an efficient manner.
