Tutor’s tip: Never be afraid to ask questions because it is extremely likely you are not the only one with that question. It also shows that you are interested and dedicated to learning the material, and asking questions establishes a good mindset for learning.

Tutor’s tip: Organization of notes and class materials is key! I recommend taking a couple of minutes before you start studying to organize everything; it will help prevent stress in the long run. Also, do not be afraid to ask for help; your professors are there to help you!

Tutor’s tip: Study for quizzes and exams according to your learning style. Studying in a way that allows you to absorb the information best—for example, making flow charts if you are a visual learner or doing example problems if you are a kinesthetic learner—will allow you to retain information more easily and understand the material better.

Tutor’s tip: Instead of cramming the night before a quiz or exam, go over your notes/practice problems for a few minutes after every class to ensure you understand everything. If you're confused, don't be afraid to ask your professor or tutor for help. This way, you can space things out and minimize your studying for the day before your exam to give yourself time to relax!
