Directory Information

Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ considers the following information to be directory information which can be released without the written consent of the student: name, home address, local address, e-mail address, telephone number, date and place of birth, class year, major, and minor field of study, enrollment status (including full-time, part-time, graduated, withdrawn, etc.), dates of attendance, anticipated date of graduation, awards, honors, degrees conferred; previous educational agencies or institutions attended, photograph, participation in officially recognized activities and sports; and weight and height of members of athletic teams. Every student has the right to file a written request with the University (Office of the Registrar) to restrict the release of directory information. If a student does not want the University to disclose directory information from the student's education records without the student's prior written consent, the student must notify the University electronically via or in writing: Office of the Registrar, Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ, 4501 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210-2699. Students should allow 7 days for their request to be processed.  Students should be aware that instructing the University not to release directory information could impact disclosures to potential employers, lending agencies, health insurance carriers, etc.

Students have the option to notify the Office of the Registrar of their preference in writing (as documented above) or electronically (via ), as follows:

Undergraduate Students: Inside Loyola > Undergraduate Demographics (redirects to Loyola Self-Service, Undergraduate Demographic Entry screen> choose New Directory Flag Choice of Yes or No

Graduate Students: Inside Loyola > Graduate Registration (redirects to Loyola Self-Service, Graduate Demographic Entry screen) > choose New Directory Flag Choice of Yes or No

Note: The University considers no response to the directory question on the Inside Loyola Portal demographics page as permission to release this information.
