Adaptive Technology at the Library

Starting in the fall 2017, the library began mainstreaming adaptive technology by migrating software and equipment out of the Digital Lab and into the common areas to expand and provide easier access to the technology for users. One computer including the preexisting software ZoomText, JAWS, and Kurzweil 3000 has been moved to the first floor near the Library’s entrance to provide ongoing access. In addition, the library is actively migrating similar software functionality to new public computers located throughout the building. All adaptive lab functionality has been retained as the software and equipment has been mainstreamed.
